Some of the most exciting words of encouragement that come from the mouth of Apostle Beasley are when he talks about the Food Ministry of Total Life Change Ministries International. He states, “God has provided us with the ability to now do it.” What does Apostle Beasley mean by “do it?” He means that, having been blessed so much TLCMI now has the ability to assist other local ministries in feeding, clothing, meeting the physical needs of, and sharing the Good News with the people of the Detroit area.
The following piece of scripture has been a motivating factor in the growth of TLCMI’s food ministry. Matthew 25: 35-36 states "For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me."
TLCMI provides food in a variety of places in the area, including shelters for the homeless. Food is also provided at the Chester Street location. TLCMI is preparing a food pantry, as well as a gently-used clothing ministry, at the Chester Street Location.
“One way of showing compassion and the love of Christ to others is in serving those who are less fortunate,” says Apostle Beasley. Additionally, TLCMI has been blessed with many volunteers who assist in this vital ministry. Their work is invaluable to the realization of this practical needs-meeting ministry. Through the words of a Spirit-filled Apostle Paul, we find out that “We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.”
Our goals are to love, provide, and glorify Jesus. So, through the words of our own Apostle Beasley, “It’s time to do it.”
