When confronted by God about where his brother Abel was…Cain responded to God by saying (probably a bit sarcastically), “Am I my brother’s keeper?” Obviously, Cain was trying to avoid any responsibility and was denying the truth. For he himself had killed his brother Abel.
At Total Life Change Ministries International, Apostle Beasley says to us “Yes, we are our brothers' keepers.” If we love as Christ has commanded us, we must show concern for our brothers. There can be no other way.
Here at TLCMI, this vital ministry targets all men. Yes, we reach out to our brothers in Christ, but we also reach out to all men, no matter who they are, what they are, or where they are. We believe that we have a responsibility to reach out to our brothers in a real life-changing way.
Like all other ministries at TLCMI, this ministry is “real.” We assist men by being real. No platitudes, no promises of fairy tales; but down-to-earth, real love and compassion. Apostle Beasley reminds us that in Proverbs 27:17 we are told, “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
So, as a ministry to all men, we are challenged, “What am I doing to sharpen the countenance of my friends? Do I love my brothers? Am I working out my love for my brother through practical means of ministry? If not, what am I going to do about it?”
Apostle Beasley asks us, “Are we being the men we should be?” That is what the men’s ministry here at TLCMI is all about. We are our brothers' keepers.
